Biography

 

Stacia Yeapanis is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist, educator and writer. She received a BA in German from Oberlin College (1999) and an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2006). Her work is included in both the rotating Midwest Photographers Collection and the permanent collection at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, as well as various private collections. She is currently a mentor-in-residence (2012-2013) at BOLT Residency in Chicago.

Yeapanis' first monograph was co-published in the Spring of 2009 by Aperture and The Museum of Contemporary Photography. Exhibitions include Losing Yourself in the 21st Century(Atlanta and Baltimore), MP3 (Chicago),Everybody Hurts (Chicago), Please Stand By: Stacia Yeapanis + Readymade (New York) andOver and Over Again (Chicago). In January 2014, she will mount a solo show titled I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For at Heaven Gallery (Chicago).
